Fresh fruit trifle is a classic English dessert that features layers of fruit, cake, custard, and whipped cream. It’s a delicious and visually appealing dessert that can be made with a variety of fresh fruits.

Here’s a simple recipe for a fresh fruit trifle:

  • 1 prepared sponge cake or pound cake, cut into cubes
  • Fresh fruits of your choice, such as berries, kiwi, mango, and peaches, washed and sliced
  • 1 package of instant vanilla custard mix
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  1. Prepare the custard according to the package instructions using the milk. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a trifle bowl or a large glass bowl, start assembling the trifle. Place a layer of cake cubes at the bottom of the bowl.
  4. Add a layer of sliced fruits on top of the cake cubes.
  5. Pour a layer of cooled custard over the fruit layer.
  6. Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the custard layer.
  7. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  8. Decorate the top with additional fresh fruits for an attractive presentation.
  9. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.
  10. Serve and enjoy the delicious layers of fresh fruit, cake, custard, and whipped cream in every spoonful!

You can customize your fresh fruit trifle by using your favorite fruits and adjusting the sweetness and creaminess of the custard and whipped cream to your taste. It’s a perfect dessert for special occasions, gatherings, or simply as a sweet treat to enjoy with family and friends.
