Is this product good for our health?

Because coconut oil is rich in calories, we should not consume a lot of it. Moreover, it causes serious damages by raising the levels of bad cholesterol in the blood and arteries.

According to some recent studies, one should pay attention to coconut oil consumption; for its saturated fat can increase the amount of both “good cholesterol” (HDL) and “bad cholesterol” (LDL).

Similarly, according to Everyday Health, coconut oil can raise both good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. The former is beneficial for the heart; the latter boosts the risk of getting an early heart attack.

An expert in health asserts that coconut oil must be consumed with non-saturated oils in the diet. This will prevent (HDL) from converting to (LDL). On the other hand, applying coconut oil to the skin gives it shine and clearness. However, he further says, “I am using it externally because it is for itching, inflammation, and bacterial infection.”
